THE MACDONALD TRIAD

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

The Macdonald Triad theory was first described by U.S. psychiatrist John Macdonald, being a combination of two to three factors which claim to predict the early behaviour of future mass or serial killers. Macdonald claims, that past serial killers had in common similar descriptions of behavioral problems when they were children. They consistently wet or pooped themselves while sleeping in bed, after the age of five; they loved torturing animals, and also they were infatuated with starting fires. The psychiatrist says that all serial killers have one or more if not all three in common. Serial killers from, Martin Bryant to the cannibal killers Katherine Knight and Jeffrey Dahmer, and the same signs were linked to the history of all serial killers, according to phychiatrist John Macdonald Parents, I know it's hard to believe your child can be predicted as a serial violent offender. How crazy does this sound, "yep he can be a serial killer when he's older", all based on childish behavior. I guess that's why it's called signs. The good thing about signs are, they can be repainted into another picture. You don't have to believe or accept that your kid will be a violent person. When you see those signs, just go the extra mile to have them resolved, preventing any predictions of the worse patterned outcome described in national study's and lived by serial killers. The fact is, you can be born crazy, and all of the signs that was mentioned can exist in anyone, at least one. You just never know looking in the window from the outside. You just never know these days. Who could have predicted that Jeffrey who lived down the block, would turn out to be one of the most famous serial killers of our time.
